But
you are a
chosen
people, a
royal
priesthood,
a holy
nation, a
people
belonging to
God, that
you may
declare the
praises of
him who
called you
out of
darkness
into his
wonderful
light.
Worship is
not merely
something we
do as
Christians,
it is the
purpose for
which God
has saved us
from our
sin; to
"declare the
praises of
him..."
Worship is the
goal of our
salvation,
and the goal
of all
history
(Rev.
5:12-13).
God is
gathering a
people from
every tribe
and tongue
and nation
to worship
Him.
At WPC we
gather
weekly as
God’s people
to meet with
our Father.
The gospel
is renewed
in us
through
public
reading and
exposition
of
scripture,
singing good
hymns and
praise
songs, and
the
administration
of Christ's
sacraments
of communion
and baptism.
Together we
hear again
the promises
of God and
our lives
are
wonderfully
enriched and
empowered.
